quest 2 is gestopt met werken.

halfvol op de lader gezet en gaat niet meer aan.

reageerd niet op aan toets. ook niet op een reset combinatie.

aansluiten op diverse laders geeft geen reactie.

geeft geen enkele keur lampje.

hoe kan ik een diagnose stellen.

vermoed een kapot moederbord, maar hoop een accu of acculader intern aansluiting.

hoe kan ik testen wat het is.

demonteren is geen probleem.

Beste Allemaal,

Mijn Oculus Rift headset raakt zeer regelmatig de verbinding kwijt met de PC. Hierdoor is er bijna niks mee aan te vangen. Om het probleem te verhelpen heb ik een TP cast aangeschaft, maar ook hiermee hetzelfde probleem. Het lijkt erop dat het in de verbinding zit (hdmi ingang headset). Kan iemand mij vertellen hoe dit op te lossen of weet iemand een plek waar ik de Rift kan laten repareren. Alvast bedankt,

mijn oculus rift is gevallen en nu zie door rechts niets mee (paar groene en zwarte strepen). Is dit nog te repareren en hoe en waar.

Meta Quest 3: Screens not turning on

Yoo Ifixit folks!

I've got a quest 3 of which both the displays don't turn on.

If i spam the on button i sometimes get a white flash, nothing else.

Sound works, charging works fine, controllers give haptic feedback and sounds indicate i am passing by menu buttons. Only no display what so ever, not even backlight. I had it functioning and was able to see everything happening by streaming it to thw mobile app but I have factory reset it through the app and now I don't know where I am in the setup steps haha.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem.could be? Would it be worth opening it up and maybe check on cables? Or is mainboard possibly done for?

(I am an owner of a Meta Quest 3S and the problem at hand is that the headset is stuck In a black screen but what happens is that there is still audio and the use of menú buttons still emits sound and the start up animation still reproduces and the boot menu is still accessible and visible but menús, power options, turn off & on pop ups are not visible as well as the cameras

The meta quest forum and the reddit community offered the idea to factory reset and to update using the side load update through the official meta quest web and the original problem of the menú just appearing and the controllers bring useless i reset it and the result was that the proximity error disappeared but the black screen is still there

Soy dueño de un casco Meta Quest 3S y el problema que ha ocurrido es que la pantalla del casco se queda en negro pero aún emite sonido se puede escuchar el abrir y cerrar de menús y se puede ver qué la pantalla sigue funcional ya que se pueden ver la animación de inicio y el menú de booteo es funcional se ve y funciona pero los menús, opciones de apagado y avisos de apagado no son visibles al igual que las cámaras

La comunidad de meta Quest en reddit y el foro oficial me han dicho de formatear el casco y utilizar la opción de actualizar a través de side load desde la página oficial de meta Quest una vez actualizado el error original de la pantalla de buscando posición en sala no fue un problema pero la pantalla en negro sigue siendo un problema constante

I’ve recently gone on holiday and I got my quest 2 out for 2 seconds to switch it off as I forgot and it kept going off in my bag but now there’s a yellow light in the lens and I think it’s Sun damage is there any way I can fix it by replacing the lenses

hi i have a couple meta quest 2s and they both keep getting stuck on the initial set up and wont progress past installing update 1 of 2. I have tried hard reset, i have tried USB update through the meta site but nothing seems to be working does anyone have a clue as to what i can try next?

I got some wd40 to help with a stick drift issue, but some of the wd40 got onto one of the controller buttons, and now it's not responding to my input. I'm still able to press the button, but it doesn't make the same sound compared to the rest of the buttons on my controllers when i press them. It's been quiet after i heard a crunching sound when i pressed it after the wd40 i put on the joysticks was able to dry.

What do i do? Am i able to fix it, or do i need a new controller all together?

Meta Quest 3S: not turning on after replacment of usb c port

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice regarding a Meta Quest 3s repair issue.

My headset was fully functional before the repair. I replaced the left speaker bracket/assembly and also repaired a damaged USB-C port after fall damage. Since completing the repair, the headset will no longer power on or charge.

I have already tried:

Multiple known-good USB-C cables and chargers
Long presses of the power button (30+ seconds)
Various button combinations involving the power button
Testing with another known-good battery
Checking the power button itself and its connection

The headset remains completely unresponsive:

No charging indicator
No LED activity
No display activity
No vibration or signs of life

At this point, the only thing I have left to do is start checking voltages and tracing power rails on the board.

Since the headset was working before the repair, I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on what could have happened during the USB-C port replacement or speaker bracket replacement.

Are there any common failure points, fuses, protection circuits, damaged traces, disconnected flex cables, or components near the USB-C port that I should check first?

Additionally, I have carefully inspected all internal connections and flex cables multiple times. I found no signs of physical damage, torn cables, bent pins, improperly seated connectors, burn marks, corrosion, or damaged components. All connectors appear to be fully inserted and locked in place.

Visually, the motherboard and surrounding components look completely normal, with no obvious signs of shorts, overheating, or accidental damage during the repair process.

Any additional troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I start probing power rails.
