LG washing machine: My LG top loader drum doesnt turn when washing.

I’m not sure but should the drum turn when washing? It does turn when in spin cycle. Also, when the machine is off and empty, does the agitator spin freely by hand as mine does?

LG washing machine: Which hose goes on which barb on the circulation pump

I have replaced the "circulation pump" on my LG WM3997HWA 01 and am now reconnecting the hoses. there are two hoses to the top of the circulation pump. They are both the same size and the two barbs that match them are both side by side. I dont know which hose goes on which barb. One hose goes up to the top of the tub and one goes to the bottom of the tub. One is marked with red marker the other is with blue marker. Both hoses are the same size and either could go on either barb. Which is Which????? LG refuses to talk to me! They say that is technical advice that they dont provide. But they sold me the technicians service manual for $29 and that information is not in the service manual! If I just had a picture of the pump in situ I could figure it out! The barbs are aligned back to front so are identifiable. The hoses go left or right so are identifiable. Its easy, but LG wont help me. They dont want me to buy another LG product like my LG TV and LG Refrigerator which will be replaced by something else when they fail. I wont go thru this again, its not worth it.

I opened and cleaned up the terminal in the door interlock, replaced and could hear the drain pump running. Put washer on cycle and washed but won't drain or spin. What next

LG washing machine: LG WM2487HWM won't drain, OE error appears. Drain pump was replaced.

Hi,

My LG front loader washer would not go into the drain stage of the washing cycle.

First there were noises coming from a drain pump, then it sat for a while and displayed OE error. No drain or spin happened.

As many posts suggested, I checked the drain filter (it was clean), hoses and replaced the drain pump with a brand new one.

I then tried Rinse+Spin and Speed Wash cycles with no clothes, to confirm that it got fixed, but to no avail.

It again stopped on the Drain/Spin stage and displayed the OE error after sitting for a while, no loud noises were coming from the new pump though.

I then went through a diagnostic run, by pressing Soil Level and Spin + Power, albeit with the same result - no drain occurred.

What else could I do, please?

Cold inlet valve was leaking on washer replaced with a new one. When I plugged the washing machine up, I noticed the electrical plug flashed light/ spark. When you turn the washing machine on and wash clothes, the cold water continuously runs filling the washing machine with enough water to leak out the door. It won’t drain unless you put it in manual spin and the timer does not count down unless you put it in manual spin.

LG top load washer (WT8400CW) received LE error during wash step. The drum is spinning fine, as I can complete a spin cycle, but the agitator will not spin freely. After some tinkering I found that when the retention nut for the rotor assembly is too tight the agitator coupling will not detach separating the agitator and drum. The coupling is in good condition and shift actuator motor is working as intended. Has anyone experienced this or know the proper parts that should be included in this assembly? It's like its missing a spacer or additional washer.
