Kobo Libra 2: Kobo Libra 2 start niet meer op, blijft wit scherm houden.

Kobo aangesloten op pc. Hierna een aantal boeken op de e-reader gezet. Na veilig afsluiten e-reader uit de pc gehaald.

Vanaf dat moment schoot het scherm van de e-reader op wit, en blijft het opstartlampje continu knipperen. De e-reader probeert continu op te starten, maar dit lukt niet. Handmatige reset werkt ook niet, diverse malen geprobeerd (aan/uit knop tegelijk met een toets op de voorkant 30 seconden indrukken). De computer herkent de ereader ook niet meer.

het scherm blijft op de slaapstand staan en de eReader reageert nergens meer op. Ook niet aan of uit zetten. Wat kan ik doen?

Mijn ereader gaat niet meer aan, hij is volledig opgeladen. Ook een reset werkt niet.

Of hij laadt toch niet meer op: kapotte usb aansluiting? Of mijn accu kan niet meer opladen.

Is reparatie mogelijk?

Na het verwijderen van boeken is de e-reader start hij niet meer op. Wanneer je op de aan knop drukt gaat het lampje knipperen. Hij stopt als je de aanknop 30 sec indrukt. Ik heb geprobeerd om het te resetten met tegelijk de aan/uitknop en de paginaknop ingedrukt houden maar dat helpt niet. Ook helemaal leeg maken en dan de knop indrukken helpt ook niet

Kobo Libra 2: Scherm loopt regelmatig vast zonder stroom

Mijn e-reader werkt perfect als hij stroom krijgt. Als hij echter wordt losgekoppeld van de usb, dan loopt hij ofwel onmiddellijk vast, ofwel loopt hij vast van zodra hij in slaapstand komt of het scherm worst precies als negatief.

Het enige wat dan helpt, is terug de usb insteken. Dan start het toestel vanzelf opnieuw en gaat het weer goed.

Factory reset heb ik al geprobeerd, maar heeft niets uitgehaald. Ik heb hem nu een maand langs de kant gelaten en het probleem is precies nog verergerd.

Wie kan mij helpen? Zou dit een defecte batterij kunnen zijn of is het einde verhaal voor mijn e-reader?

Kobo Libra 2: Screen white and light flashing

Hi, I tried to upload a file with Calibre and the Libra 2 stopped working. I tried to reset it, but screen became white and flash began lightening. Now I can turn it on and off, but basically nothing happens, but screen is white and light is flashing. When plugged, PC recognized something but is not able to identify the device. Any idea? Thanks.

Kobo Libra 2: Fully charged while plugged in, but then only lasts a few minutes

I fully charge my e-reader until the battery shows full. I unplug it to read it, and the battery only lasts a few minutes before I have to plug it in again.

Kobo Libra 2: Kobo Libra 2 dead after 1 month of no use - no charge LED, no response

Looking for advice before I commit to a battery replacement.

My Kobo Libra 2 was working perfectly with no signs of battery degradation whatsoever. Normal charge times, normal runtime, no swelling, no issues. It then sat unused for about a month. Now it's completely unresponsive:

- No charging LED when plugged in (from any source)

- No response to short or long power button presses

- Screen stays blank, no "Powered off" message, no boot logo, nothing

What I've already tried:

- Multiple USB-C cables (data-capable, known good)

- Multiple power sources, including a 2A wall adapter (not just computer USB)

- Power button hold for ~30 seconds, then attempted reboot

- Left it plugged into the wall adapter overnight, no change in the morning

- Inspected the USB-C port, it's clean with no lint or debris, and the connector seats fully

Kobo support told me it's out of warranty and pointed me to iFixit as their repair partner. I understand iFixit doesn't currently stock a genuine Kobo battery for the Libra 2 specifically (only for the newer Colour models), so I'd be sourcing an aftermarket 305080 cell.

My questions:

1. Given that the device was fully healthy a month ago and just sat unused, does this sound like a deep-discharged battery latched off by the protection circuit, or could it be something on the motherboard?

2. Anything else worth trying before I open it up?

3. For the Libra 2 specifically, any tips on the battery swap? Recommended sources for a pre-wired 305080 to avoid soldering directly to the board? Anything to watch out for on disassembly?

Kobo Libra 2: Phantom, erratic page turning and high lighting

My kobo seems to be possessed. I attempted a manual factory reset. It was promising at first, I was able to get through all the set up prompts and sign in. As soon as I got to my home page, the poltergeist started opening all the books and highlighting again. The screen is also had a shadow on the lower right corner.

Kobo Libra 2: Replacement for E-ink screen

My Kobo Libra 2 (B/W) has a cracked E-ink screen inside (externally on the surface there are no scratch and it has still its original plastic) because someone sat on my bag. Even with a cover on it.

I've been wondering if the new E-ink screen replacement for the newest version the Kobo Colour (that has the same size) is compatible to the Kobo Libra 2 (B/W Version).

Unfortunately it is not available to buy, but when it will be back on the market, can it be installed on a previous model that is originally in black and white?
