In-Ear Headphone: How to fix 'static' noise on Bose QC20i Noise Cancelling Headphones?

I have a pair of Bose QC20i noise cancellation headphones. When they were new, I could turn on the noise cancellation switch without the jack being plugged in, and they worked fine.

Now, they produce a noticeable feedback sound when not plugged in. This can be altered by touching the tip of the headphone jack.

When plugged in, the feedback goes away, but they produce a hissing sound in the left ear. Sometimes this hissing replaces the feedback sound mentioned above.

However, when music is turned on, even at a level which is inaudible to me, they seem to work fine.

I bought them new only a few months ago, but the purchase was on ebay so Bose tells me they will not honor the warranty.

Does this sound like something I could try to fix myself?

Any hints on troubleshooting would be appreciated.

In-Ear Headphone: Jabra Rox earbuds wont power on issue

hi there everyone.

I've had a pair of Jabra Rox Bluetooth earbuds for a while now and recently I've come across an issue which many people have run into. they just won't turn on!

so without being plugged into anything, the earbuds don't turn on at all. when you plug it into a wall/ computer the LED on the earbuds turn red (charging indicator) for 1 second for it then to turn green (fully charged indicator). while the jabras are plugged into my pc I hold down the turn on button for a few seconds. my pc then makes a ding noise indicating that the pc detects the earbuds. but from that still, nothing happens.

any ideas about my situation? I would love to hear them.

thanks in advance

In-Ear Headphone: How to repair Jaybird X3 left ear. Wear and tear caused wires to break

Wear and tear caused the left ear of my X3's to cut out unless i could get them in a VERY specific position that wasn't maintainable without keeping my hand above my head. I pulled them apart and need to re-solder the healthy wire back into the ends of the wires coming out of the headphone. I could probably solder them straight to the board, but wouldn't it be easier to solder the wires together?

In-Ear Headphone: How to fix Aftershokz Aeropex?

Hello everyone,

Background : a few months ago, I bought an Aftershokz Aeropex bone conduction headset. They were brand new, I bought them in a second hand website and the person who sold me the Aftershokz didn’t have any receipt as a proof of purchase (I cannot use the guarantee and Aftershokz said they can’t help me on this…).

Description of the issue : after normal usage, the headphone turned off. It is now impossible to turn them on. I tried to recharge them, to reset them but nothing worked.

Is there a superhero out there who knows how to fix this issue ? Or is a disposable product ?

Thanks !!
