Acer Nitro: Acer nitro 5 (possibly model n20c1) not charging or indicating life.

Hello, I have had an Acer nitro 5 for about three years, but now, suddenly, it will no longer charge. I cannot access anything on the computer due to the fact that it died while I was troubleshooting. I no longer have the box, and the words have faded, but I believe it is a n20c1 from what I can read.

Things I have already tried:

Power button: I have tried holding the power button for extended periods of time, but due to the computers lack of power, this hasn't been changing anything.

Charger: The charger does not seem to affect the computer. The charger is in mild condition, due to the fact that over time the cats of my house have bitten it. I don't think this is the problem because the charger stopping was abrupt, and no cats had bitten the charger for a long time.

Power bank: I have tried using a power bank to make sure it wasn't the fault of the charger. The power bank had no affect on the computer, and didn't cause the LEDs to glow.

External keyboard: I saw a post on here where someone thought maybe the problem on their computer was due to the power button on the keyboard no longer working. I plugged an external keyboard into the computer and tried the same steps as with the normal keyboard, but to no avail.

Additional information:

I do not have the equipment or knowledge to test things inside of the computer

I have tested multiple outlets, and that doesn't seem to be the problem

I have used the power bank on other technology after it didn't work with my computer, and it itself works fine.

The case is missing a screw. I don't know whether this is important or not, but if needed, the instructions for finding the screws position are the following.

Flip the computer so the bottom is up.

Orient computer so charging port is facing you.

It is the bottom left screw next to one of the warning hot surface triangle stickers if the computer is sat right from the last two steps.

I hope this is enough information to diagnose the problem, and if not, I will try to respond to as many suggestions as I can. Thank you in advance for any help!

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54: Bezel and hinge broken- Need help replacing.

My laptop was dropped over a year ago and the bezel cracked. It's not been too much of an issue, but more recently the hinge has started to stick and at worst, has resulted in the bezel nearly separating from the screen. The crack in the bezel also means the thin piece of plastic on the side sometimes separates and altogether, the entire screen nearly falls apart if not held together with tape. (very temporary solution)

I will be clear in that I'm someone who knows next to nothing about tech repair, but I do have the help of someone who does, but hasn't done this exact thing before.

I have purchased replacement parts, but I cannot find a good and clear guide on how to replace the front bezel and hinge. Pictures of the damage below.

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53-55G9: Unsteadily holding LCD lid/hinges

I am using Acer Nitro AN515-31 for a little less than a year now.

After some time I have noticed that the LCD lid became loose, not holding steadily, flapping from slight movements. It had come so far, that when the lid is opened at more than a 90 degree angle, either it, or the LCD frame gets pushed into the screen under it’s weight, creating a noticeable LCD bleed in the lower right corner. When pulling the screen back the bleed seems to disappear.

I am unsure whether the problem is with the hinges or the lid itself, but I am suspecting the latter. When opening, closing or moving the it in general, the movement of hinges themselves seems reasonably tight.

Additionally, when I close the lid, it appears to be elevated from the left hinge, so much so, that the opening between the lid and the rest of the case is big enough to observe the keyboard through it in some cases. It only occurs on the left side and pressing down on the left hinge fixes it. After that it cannot be reproduced by trying to pull the lid up, only by opening the lid and closing it again.

Did anybody encounter similar issues before? Does anybody have an idea on what it could be, and what can be done about it? Just about anything would be appreciated.

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58: ACER AN 515-58 Nitro 5 NITROSENSE NOT OPERATING

Hello All, So after many days and many nights trying to find a surefire fix for my Nitrosense on my Acer Nitro 5 AN 515-58 I am reaching out here to see if anyone can help.

I have tried alomst every video on YouTube I have tried all the so called fixes from Acer's own site and I have tried Microsoft as well.

The issue is there is no way now to ajust fans or adjust my LED backlighting on the keyboard the programme just wont open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the downloads, I have tried the Command Prompts so called fix, I have tired so many things now I am repeating them over and over I have even done a full system repair and zI do not want to have to reload Windows 11 all over again as that is not only time consuming but seems to me a long shot not worth doing.

From memory this has been since the last Windows 11 update on the 15th but even after a restore it is still not working.

I have seen so many have had the same issue and I hope some brilliant mind on here has something that will fix it once and for all as when I activate my laptop the fans are running at full speed and I have no way to stop it. I hope some can offer advise please

Kindest Regards

Robert

Update (01/26/25)

I Was asked to add more information about my system etc, So I operate Windows 11 home edition I have tried all of the versions of NITROSENSE available on ACER's Download site, I have V2.16 version of Bios which is the latest version. This issue is not something that should be continuing all this time without ACER fixing it so any help that will fix it is welcomed.

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53-55G9: My computer won't turn on.

So when I try to turn my laptop on, something peculiar happens. The usb devices that I have connected to it (microphone, external hdd, etc) turn on, and the keyboard back-lit is on. However, there seems to be no display output, because it doesn't connect to either of my 2 external monitors (Ive checked the monitors and hdmi cables) and the laptop monitor is broken(previous problem) so that doesn't display either. When I try to hold down the power button to manually restart it, everythings turns off for about 5 seconds, then turns back on. I don't know what's happening.

The only way to turn it on is by holding Windows + Space together, and it stays on only as long as I keep the Windows key pressed.
